What is HPV?
Posted on November 21, 2008 ?>
Human papillomavirus is a virus that affects the skin and surrounding areas of the genitals and can lead to genital warts. It is one of the leading STDs in young women as the one-hundred thirty types of virus are highly contagious through sexual contract. Up to seventy five percent of sexually active people will contract HPV at some point in their lives.
There are high risk and low risk variations of HPV. The higher risk variations of HPV often occur symptomless and can progress to precancerous lesions. These types of HPV are assigned a number ? of which most are low risk. The highest risk types of HPV are 16, 18,31,33,35,39,45,51,52,56,58 and 69.
HPV is one of the leading causes of cervical cancer. Up to 26.8% of the population in the United States is infected with one type of the virus. Fifteen percent of women have been infected with the virus at some point in their lives, and 3.4% are infected with one of the types which are protected by the Gardasil vaccine. It is important to remember that one can be affected by more than one type of the HPV virus - regardless of symptoms which are present.
What are the Symptoms of HPV? There are some varieties of HPV that cause symptoms such as genital warts and other variations have no symptoms at all. Regardless of the type, prevention and screening are important parts of diagnoses and therapeutic treatment plans.
Although some variants of HPV are symptomless, pap smears are a preventative technique to detect these precancerous lesions. These are an integral part in the prevention of cervical cancer and should be conducted on a yearly basis for women who are sexual active, or have reached adulthood.
Other symptoms of HPV include genital warts which are non-cancerous skin growths present on the genital area. There are four types of warts that can be caused by HPV viruses: common warts, planter warts, flat warts and subungal warts. Common warts are most commonly found in the genital area and are quite contagious. These warts are one of the most common indications that HPV is present within the bodily system. Types of HPV 6 and 11 are the most common types of HPV that account for more than ninety percent of genital warts.
What treatments are Available for HPV? Treatments available for HPV include the removal of the symptoms, the genital warts by removal using chemical compounds. Though there are is no treatment for HPV, many types will clear without treatment as the response from the immune system is initiated.
Vaccines have been created such as Gardasil and Cervarix to prevent up to four percent of the variants of the HPV virus. These immunizations are effective for women between the ages of sixteen and twenty-four, for the prevention of HPV and genital warts.
To help prevent this virus one can remain abstinent, because avoiding all sexual contact is the only way to be one hundred percent sure that it can be avoided.

The Many Health Benefits of Garlic
Posted on November 21, 2008 ?>
For generations the health benefits of garlic has been preached as a natural remedy to curb disorders such as high blood pressure ? even bad breath! What are the health benefits of garlic and garlic supplements that we don?t hear about on a regular basis? Did you know that garlic can keep away mosquitoes and prevent acne?
Garlic has been known as a boost for the immune system as it has been a common key in prevention of the common cold and flu viruses present in the air throughout the winter and fall seasons. Many take garlic in preparations for these season changes and the germs in the air. Experts look to garlic as a broad spectrum antibiotic that can prevent bacteria from becoming a cold or flu. It boosts the immune system to disallow the onset of bacteria and viruses. Used as a preventative measure, garlic is effective in preventing cold and flu symptoms and onset.
Are you seeking clearer skin? Garlic could help everyone from teenagers to pregnant mothers suffering from fluctuating hormones that can cause acne symptoms and breakouts. The symptoms of acne can be decreased when garlic is ingested into the body. Garlic should not be applied directly to the skin, as it can cause redness and swelling. It should be ingested, as it can reap the benefits of clearer skin.
As a treatment for high blood pressure garlic is popular. Supplements taken daily can decrease bad cholesterol levels (HDL). In this case, garlic supplements are used to determine the effects of the supplements on the levels of cholesterol within the body. Garlic can be used to offset partial damages caused by eating foods that are bad ? cholesterol wise.
Should you use fresh garlic as a remedy or stick to garlic supplements? Using garlic supplements comes without the bad breath that can be associated with garlic. Did you know that the stronger the odor and taste of the garlic clove, the more sulfur in it? The higher the level of sulfur within the clove, the better the effects that the garlic can have on the body. The benefits of raw garlic are thought to be higher than those of garlic supplements.
Garlic is important part of the nourishment in the body which could help to prevent cancer cells in the body. Research has shown that the use of raw garlic on a regular basis reduces the amount of free radical cells within the body. These cells have been linked with cancer and are undergoing research on a daily basis.
If you are looking for a way to decrease the attraction of mosquitoes than garlic is the answer. Allicin is the compound in garlic which can deter the natural attraction of our skin to those pesky mosquitoes. It has been speculated that the mosquitoes are overpowered by the scent of the garlic, which can escape from the pores and unable to bite.
Garlic is beneficial for our health and should be implemented into a diet for a healthy bodily system.

Early Pregnancy Signs
Posted on November 21, 2008 ?>
Whether you are trying to get pregnant, or have been given a surprise by the news ? there are ways of detecting pregnancy through normal body functions and changes, sometimes even before a missed monthly period. Of course, the most accurate sign of pregnancy is a missed period. Often, after a period has been missed a pregnancy test will read accurately. Most women become suspicious if they have regular periods, and even a day or two late is an irregular occurrence.
As motherly as it sounds, food cravings can often be a sign of pregnancy. From popcorn to chocolate, these cravings may come at unnatural times and be a sure sign of early pregnancy. Are you experiencing cravings for food that you regularly avoid? This could be a sign of early pregnancy.
Tender or sore breasts are another sign of early pregnancy. With the hormone fluctuations that occur within the body, this can be a variable sign of pregnancy. Some women report that breasts feel heavier, sore, or even larger or engorged with the preparations that occur to accommodate the changes within the body. Darkening of the areolas may occur. What causes the darkening? Hormone fluctuations within the body can create these imbalances which cerate the darkening of the areolas. Sometimes in early pregnancy, an act as simple as a caress or wearing an uncomfortable bra can be a terrible experience. Not to worry, this pain usually subsides as the body adjusts to the pregnancy.
The increased levels of HCG within the body can have varying effects on each woman. For most, these increased HCG levels create the need for frequent urination.
Your body is working overtime to prepare for the pregnancy and the birth of the baby and with these increased workloads come fatigue. Fatigue is often one of the first signs in early pregnancy and could make something as simple as a day of errands feel like an exhausting task that warrants a nap. You can blame this on the increased levels of progesterone that are being produced within the body.
Morning sickness doesn?t just occur in the morning. Ask anyone who has gone through a pregnancy and suffered from the constant nausea and vomiting within the first trimester. Did you know that nausea can occur even two days after conception?
Along with morning sickness often comes an increased sense of smell as some say that this is nature?s way of protecting the mother from ingesting anything that may be harmful to the baby. Simply put, if you can smell garlic from down the block, or beer on your partner?s breath from across the room, you just might want to take that pregnancy test. An increase in post nasal drip or a nose that will not stop running is one of the signs of pregnancy as the nose is not exempt from the discharge which is increased through the body.
An increase in cervical discharge is an early indicator of pregnancy. This clear substance can be more pronounced even two to five days after conception.

The Bride?s A To Z Emergency Kit List
Posted on November 21, 2008 ?>
Your wedding day is fast approaching. You?re most likely doublechecking last minute details. You?ve done so much planning and dotted every ?i? and crossed every ?t?. Don?t let a wedding day emergency ruin your day.
Here?s an A to Z list of items you should have on hand to make sure your big day happens without a hiccup.
A is for Aspirin and Alka Seltzer. If you start to get a headache or your stomach feels a little upset on your big day, try to nip that ailment in the bud. Aspirin will help the most at the onset of a headache. Don?t wait until you have a full-blown temple thumping headache to take a couple aspirin. Alka Seltzer can help settle your stomach if it starts doing flips. Be sure to have a small, sensible breakfast on your wedding day so you have energy and you don?t get lightheaded.
B is for Bobby Pins.Your hair or that of your bridesmaids is probably sprayed and pinned up or into something fancy. Having some bobby pins handy will allow for quick fixes of any stubborn hair that decides it doesn?t want to stay put.
C is for Cake Knife. You definitely want to make sure someone is in charge of bringing your cake knife and server set to the reception location. Better yet, give this set to your baker to keep them together with the cake.
D is for Deodorant. Yes, even beautiful brides sweat! Apply your deodorant as soon as you get out of the shower. Be careful to apply it sparingly yet completely? if that?s possible. You want to be confident that you won?t get stinky. But don?t apply so much deodorant that it rubs off onto your dress or creates unsightly steaks under your armpits. Hopefully you have a roll-on that goes on clear.
E is for Exhale. Be sure to take deep breaths and exhale slowly and completely if you feel yourself getting nervous or anxious. If you force yourself to concentrate on your breathing, you?ll be able to start calming yourself down and feel better.
F is for Flutes. Your toasting flutes need to make it to your reception in time for the toasts. Have a trusted friend or relative carry these over to the reception hall so that you don?t have to worry about breakage. Have one of your most reliable, never-late loved ones handle this job for piece of mind.
G is for Garter. Hidden underneath that wedding gown should be a little something special for later on. The garter toss is definitely a fun part of the wedding reception party. By the time it happens everyone has been partying it up for a while and is loosened up. If you think there is a chance your garter might slip, don?t wear it to your actual wedding. Have your maid of honor hold it in her purse or the ?emergency kit tote bag? so that you can put it on at the reception or right before it is time for the garter toss. This will prevent you from worrying if you?re going to loose your garter while walking around. Or, heaven forbid, it slips off in the church!
H is for Hair. A hairbrush and hair spray are invaluable to keep you and your bridesmaids looking their best. A brush seems to be one of those things that if you bring it, you won?t need it. Forget to bring it and you?ll be freaking out because your hair got messed up and you?re desperate for a darn brush.
I is for Iron. Just in case your gown gets an unfortunate wrinkle or crease in it, you?ll want a portable iron handle. A travel iron is the key. Don?t have one of your poor bridesmaids lugging around a 10 pound iron for you all day.
J is for Jewelry. Your earrings, necklace and bracelet should be put on immediately as you start getting ready. That way you won?t forget anything. Be sure to have a trusted bridesmaid or the maid of honor be in charge of holding the ring for your groom.
K is for Kleenex. Weddings are notorious for tears. You?ll probably cry a little, your bridesmaids might mist up a little, moms for sure will blubber at the drop of a hat when their baby is getting married. Kleenex is a must. Use it as soon as you start tearing up to save your make-up.
L is for Lint Brush. You might end up with lint or hairs on your dress that need to be brushed off with a lint brush. This is especially necessary if there is a dog or cat in the house where you?re getting dressed. Animal hair seems to stick on your clothes at the wrong time. The groom and groomsmen might need a little brushing off too. If they are wearing tuxedos in a dark color, any little speck of link or hair will be prominent.
M is for Make-Up. Be sure to bring your make-up. Your eye shadow, lipstick, mascara, foundation, powder, lip gloss, whatever you put on, bring it. If you cry a little or if it is a hot day, your make-up will definitely need a little help. Bare minimum, do a little touch up right before your pictures. After that, you?re off the hook.
N is for Nail Polish. Most girls know this already, but clear nail polish is your friend. If you get a little run or snag in your nylon stockings, a little clear nail polish painted on will stop the run. It will dry and act like glue so that your nylon won?t keep unraveling at the problem area.
O is for Old. You know the saying: ?Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.? Many brides are fortunate to be lent or given some jewelry from their mom or grandmother that has been in the family for a while that they can wear on their wedding day. Maybe a special pendant or bracelet? Earrings? Ask mom or grandma for something old you can wear.
P is for Passport. If you are leaving the country, you better bring a passport or you won?t get very far. Nowadays you need to plan ahead at least a couple months to be sure you have your passport in hand in plenty of time for your honeymoon.
Q is for Quiet. Try to plan one quiet moment for your wedding day. This will be an extra special moment you look back on fondly. It can even be a moment that only takes a few minutes. Maybe you have a few minutes to yourself right before your wedding ceremony where you can admire your beautiful gown and take a good look at yourself before you walk down the aisle. You?re beginning a new life. This is a pivotal and important moment in your life. Another beautiful, quiet moment can be the moment where your mom or special woman in your life helps you with your headpiece and veil. This too is one of the last things you?ll do as a single woman. Take a deep breath and realize this is a moment and enjoy the significance of it.
R is for Remover. As in spot remover. You might get a little smudge on your gown from make up, drinks or food. A little spot remover in one of those handy pen applicators can work wonders.
S is for Sewing Kit. Little rips or tears might happen. Worst case maybe you end up with a loose button or decoration on your dress. Be prepared with a sewing kit. That way one of your bridesmaids can do quick damage repair if needed.
T is for Toothbrush and Tampons. Keep your teeth sparkling clean by bringing along your toothbrush and toothpaste. Hopefully your wedding date is nowhere near that time of the month, but just in case bring along some sanitary supplies so you don?t have to worry about it.
U is for Underwear. Of course you?ll need underwear. Cotton panties will be most comfortable and breathe. There is nothing more annoying that wearing a fancy pair of panties only to have them bother you all day long! It?s not worth it. Wear something pretty but sensible. You can slip into the sexy stuff as you depart for your honeymoon or when you get to your hotel.
V is for Vase. Someone should have a vase with fresh water and be in charge of your bouquet. You don?t need to carry it around with you once you?re done with your wedding ceremony. You?ll be tired of clutching it. But you will want to save it as a keepsake. Have a trusted friend be in charge of getting this from you during your wedding day and getting it pressed or preserved for you.
W is for Water. A couple of bottles of water is just what you need if you feel parched before your ceremony. Whet your whistle but don?t drink too much or you?ll be running to the bathroom. It?s quite a production to use the ladies room when you?re dressed up in full bridal regalia.
X is for Xcitement. Ok, so I cheated a little. Please don?t let stress get to you on your wedding day. Whatever is done is done. Your party and day are scheduled and planned and will go on whether everything is perfect or not. Don?t let anything get you down. Keep upbeat and excited. This is your day. Enjoy it.
Y is for Your Smile. You?re going to be photographed all day long. Smile, smile, smile. You?ll look best in your pictures. You?ll feel happy. You?ll make everyone happy around you. Smiles are contagious and should be free flowing on your wedding day. Put any stress behind you. Your day is a day to revel in and enjoy.
Z is for Zzzzzz. Try to get a good night?s sleep all week during that week leading up to your wedding. No staying up late trying to get together all your wedding favors or doing any craft projects. You want to look and feel well rested. You?ll be your best emotionally and physically if you get your zzzzz?s. You?ll also look your most beautiful to your family and friends and in your wedding pictures.

LifeCell - Products to Enhance Your Beauty
Posted on November 20, 2008 ?>
It is an inevitable part of getting older, there are going to eventually be the faint touches of those crows feet, the gradual loss of firmness and elasticity, the loss of lip plumpness, and the worst of them all, the dark circled and puffy eyes. No matter how hard that we try to keep skin aging at bay, but they have always said that no one could hold on to youth forever! At least this has always been true until the magical wonders of plastic surgery and Botox came along.
But when it came to actually going under the knives and needles for officially correcting all of the age bringing flaws that come about, so many of us just can’t bring ourselves to do it. For some individuals out there, they can afford to hold onto their youthfulness and beauty this way, but so many more of us just could not afford the very high costs that always come with most any kind of surgical procedures.
Besides plastic surgery being a very expensive way to fight off human age signs, it is also a dangerous, painful, time consuming way to hold on to youth. There just is no getting around the fact that most every surgery can easily go awry, and the dangers of infection, the plastic surgeon botching the procedure, or some other horrible problem arises from the surgical procedure. If you make it through the surgical proceedings without any problems, there is also the weeks of recovery that most every surgical procedure carries with it, and how many of us can truly afford to take several weeks off specifically for a beautification surgical procedure?
Then there are the vast numbers of skin care products that promise most everything in correcting those unwanted aging facial flaws, but many of these anti-wrinkle creams tend to be more hype than true facial repair. There is also the possibility that you are spending a small fortune of many of these anti-wrinkles and seeing no real results at all.
But finally the days of plastic surgery and overpriced non-working creams can be completely because there is now an anti-aging product that even a good number of plastic surgeons, and many of the Hollywood stars officially stand by! This anti-aging cream that has been proving over and over that it is your youth in a jar is the one and only cream appropriately called LifeCell! Not only will all of your facial wrinkles start to disappear in minutes, but the skin’s elasticity and glow will be renewed too!
It is said that LifeCell cream helps to stimulate the production of collagen helping lines and wrinkles look more smoothened out. Wrinkles appear pushed up and out as though plumped from within. This cream contains 24 hour moisturizer that nourishes the skin, natural collagen stimulator helping the lines to disappear, microlifter and firmer for the skin to look tighter and firmer, it reduces the appearance of discoloration and imperfections, reduces the appearance of under-eye puffiness and dark circles as well as makes the lip appear fuller with fine lines.

5 Ways to Get Rid of Stretch Marks
Posted on November 20, 2008 ?>
If you are tired of the unsightly stretch marks on your body and ready to do something about them, you will want to know all your treatment options. Some stretch mark treatment choices are much better than others and certain treatments can pose significant risks. Some scenarios can help you with new marks but are ineffective for old ones. Others can help with both. You?ve come to the right place for information. Learn about treatments such as: surgery, laser treatment, dermabrasion, creams and chemical peels.
Surgery
Surgery is something that?s not typically done for removal of stretch marks. Surgery that would involve removing the skin that?s covered with stretch marks could result in scarring from incisions which could be considered worse than the stretch marks themselves. It?s for this reason that typical plastic surgery treatments are generally not used for stretchmarks.
Dermabrasion
This procedure involves removing layers of skin to get the skin to regenerate.
Advantages
* Healing generally takes place as early as 7-10 days. The pinkish tone of the newly formed skin changes into the normal skin color within a short span of time.
* You can usually resume normal activities within seven to 14 days of the treatment
* Resume cosmetics use as soon as the basic healing has occurred.
Disadvantages
* Temporary (or possibly permanent) changes in skin color
* Possible darkening of the skin
* Possible Formation of scars
* Potential for infection
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels, also known as chemexfoliation or derma-peeling can improve the appearance of the skin by application of a chemical solution that causes blisters to occur that are eventually peeled off.
This treatment option includes the use of chemicals like glycolic, trichloroacetic, salicylic, lactic or carbolic acid that are applied and result in controlled wounds that later result in regenerated skin.
Advantages
Chemical peels can be customised so they enable the patient to work with the doctor to decide on the depth of the chemical peels required.
Disadvantages
Potential disadvantages can include:
* Temporary or permanent color change in the skin
* Possibility of abnormal pigmentation if the patient consumes birth control pills or has a family history of brownish discoloration on the face
* Risks of scarring on areas of the face, usually in individuals highly prone to scarring
* Risks of reactivation of cold sores in patients with a history of herpes outbreaks
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy has often been perceived as the best way (although the most expensive way) to remove stretch marks. This method can be used on deeper and older stretch marks in addition to newer marks. Laser treatment includes removing, vaporizing, and breaking down the skin?s tissues. Successful laser surgery depends on the result of a series of treatments over several weeks.
Usually, an average of six to eight treatment sessions of laser therapy is required for the desired results to be visible.
Advantages
Laser therapy often results in permanent changes. It is often viewed as one of the most effective treatment options for stretch marks.
Disadvantages
The most prominent drawback of laser therapy is the high level of expense involved in the treatment. With each session costing about $600-$700, the cost of the whole treatment could go well beyond $5,000.
Lotions and Creams
Lotions and creams for the purpose of treatment of stretch marks are designed to perform a highly effective three-pronged action, including:
* Prevention
* Treatment of new stretch marks
* Smoothening of old rough stretch marks
Cortisone creams are available and can work the best on mild stretch marks, while also leading to an improvement in the appearance of the deeper stretch marks.
Vitamin E is one of the most effective ingredients of a good stretchmark cream, helping in the nourishment of the skin. An effective stretch mark cream has a number of ingredients that work in cohesion to produce the desired effects. These include the actions and ingredients such as:
* Abrading
* Physical break down of superficial scarring
* Moisturizing enhancers and collagen synthesis boosters
* Cell communicating ingredients
* Enzymes to dissolve damaged cells and scar proteins
* Skin regenerating activators
A good quality, result-oriented stretch mark cream basically works to smooth out the skin, blend the pigmentation back together, help the redness or silvery white appearance and overall, help to bring the skin back together.
Advantages
* Extremely convenient and easy to use
* Cost-effective
* Easily accessible
* Allows privacy of use
* High possibility of positive results
Disadvantages
* Many marketed products are ineffective in treating old stretch marks
* Not advisable to be used in pregnancy or lactating stage
* Possible discoloration of the affected area
* Not all stretch mark creams are created equally so it can involve trial and error
Which Option is Best for You?
Only you can decide which option is the best based on your situation. Laser treatment and creams seem the best possible solution for the average person. Because not everyone can afford laser treatment, using an effective stretch mark cream with a solid reputation for positive results is a wise decision that can have great results.

Herbs For Menopause Can be Safe and Effective
Posted on November 20, 2008 ?>
Are you wondering if herbs for menopause are safe and effective? A lot of women in menopause are looking for a way to avoid HRT because they are concerned about the risks and side effects. Fortunately, there are many herbs for menopause symptoms, including hot flashes, bloating, high blood pressure, insomnia and more.
Herbs for menopause will affect you differently than drugs. If you are used to drugs, you will find herbs to have more subtle effects. Some herbs will give you relief immediately, while some can take two to three months to notice a change.
Herbs for menopause can be used to balance your hormones, support your liver in doing all the extra work it has to do during the Change, recalibrate your stress response, and boost your nutritional intake.
Here are just a few examples of some symptoms of menopause and some herbs that can help:
Bloating, digestive problems - Gentian is a very bitter herb. It will help get your stomach juices flowing if you take it ten to fifteen minutes before eating. This can help with bloating and indigestion. You have to taste it for it to work, so you need to take it in tincture form. Ginger is an excellent herb for digestion. You can drink a decoction made from simmering a few slices of root in water for about twenty minutes, or use the tincture. Blue vervain and scullcap are two herbs that are relaxing and will help your digestive system to relax, which is when it works best. It shuts down under stress, so if you are under stress, these are a couple of good herbs to try.
Heart health - Heart health becomes very important during this time. If you have been exercising regularly and eating a heart-healthy diet (it may not be what you think ? see http://www.natural-approaches-to-menopause.com/menopuase-diets.html for more info), you’re ahead of the game. If not, there is no better time to start. Some herbs that can help with heart health are lemon balm, motherwort, and hawthorn.
High blood pressure - High blood pressure often arrives along with menopause. I had blood pressure ov 120 over 80 for years, but once I it menopause, it went sky high. Blue vervain, dandelion, garlic, ginseng, hawthorn, motherwort, nettles, and passionflower can all help with blood pressure. Blue vervain, motherwort and passionflower help by relaxing you. Dandelion supports your liver. Hawthorn is an excellent herb for overall heart health. Ginseng helps your body adapt to stress. Nettles is full of heart-nourishing minerals.
Hormone balancing - Pre menopause and menopause are times when you can easily lose your hormone balance. Hormones affected are adrenal, thyroid, progesterone and estrogen. Dong quai, ginseng, wild yam and vitex (chasteberry) are helpful for these conditions.
Hot flashes, night sweats ? Often herbs in combination work best for hot flashes. You can try a combination of black cohosh, dong quai and wild yam. Maca root has worked for many women. Other herbs that work for hot flashes include chasteberry, and motherwort.
Insomnia ? Blue vervain, chamomile, hops, motherwort, passionflower, and valerian are all helpful for getting you to sleep and helping you to stay asleep. Chamomile can be infused (pour boiling hot water over the dried leaves, cover and let steep for 2-4 hours) and drunk throughout the day. The other herbs can be used in tincture form.
The best way to take herbs is by drinking infusions (like a tea, only much stronger) or a few drops of tincture or extract several times a day. You can take them with or without food. Capsules are okay if you just can’t stand the taste of a tincture, but you won’t get the benefits of an infusion in a capsule.
If you’re looking for a way to avoid hormone replacement therapy, or even just looking for some natural ways to work with your symptoms, herbs for menopause can be safe and effective.

A Close Examination of Double Strollers
Posted on November 20, 2008 ?>
It is a fact that not all things are created equal; and this holds true to double strollers as well. Some are made sturdy, others are handy, and still others have more features than the rest.
If you are a first-time mom of twins, it is not a mortal sin to be meticulous, especially when selecting among the many double strollers available for your twins. However, it is a sound advice to keep your eyes into the details of the double stroller that you will buy.
Safety Features
To get your twin ready for your outdoor strolling, it is best to choose a double stroller with deep seats, terrain tires, locking brakes, larger wheels, and with a wrist strap as safety measures.
Adjustable Seats
It may occur that your twins will sleep more often when inside the double stroller. As a mom, you want them to feel comfortable, and so you have to check that the seats properly recline to a certain slight angle. At this early stage, you do not wish to ruin their posture because you chose a double stroller wherein the seats cannot be adjusted. Your twins should be properly seated so as to avoid their heads never droop while asleep.
Maneuverability
There is a better way of testing whether you feel comfortable operating the double strollers: push it for a few rounds. You cannot argue with your first-hand experience of handling the strollers yourself. There are basic features that you will have to see, like the position of the wheels and the handles. The height of the stroller?s handle should be enough for your height so that you will feel comfortable while pushing the strollers, making it easier for you to turn in corners.
Transportable Seats
If it is possible, choose a double stroller with seats that are easily transported from the stroller to your car?s seats and back. This gives you the convenience of transferring your twins from the strollers to your car. This type of advancement in baby?s equipment is being incorporated in double strollers.
Easy Assembly and Storage
Since these are double strollers, you may have a foresight that you will be having difficulty in the assembly of the whole thing. You may be right; however, you have to learn how to assemble the double stroller on your own after carefully studying the manual and observing your spouse. You really need to do it in case there is no one around to do it for you and you need to go out of the house with your twins. As much as possible, choose the double stroller that?s easy to assemble so that it won?t take much of your time to do it. Also, you should keep the stroller as per instruction so as to prevent it from damage. Place it in the area where you can easily spot and return it there so you will not take time to look for it when you need it already.
